The MiFOOD workshop Migration, Food Security and Crisis Management in the Gulf, held in partnership with Hamid Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, featured lead researchers in the field of migration and food security. This was an exceptional opportunity to discuss some of the most recent studies on the changing dynamics of labour migration to the Gulf from Asia and Africa. The workshop had a sub-focus on gender and the food security of migrants and their dependants in the context of crisis management during COVID-19.
