Through empirical and qualitative research, the study intends to assess Somali migrant households’ food security situation in Nairobi. The overarching goal is to design a high-impact and knowledge mobilization research with an agenda focused on the often-overlooked interactions between migration and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). In doing so, the study will contribute to the theoretical arguments that migration does not only exert negative effects but also positive effects on food security.
